Beta Extension v3.1.7 Patch Notes

Hi everyone! We’ve made some exciting updates to your Kindred experience with new features and bug fixes! Here’s what’s new:

New Things & Improvements

• You can now edit your name directly in the Profile settings.
• If your internet connection is slow during onboarding, a warning will pop up to let you know.
• If you don’t click the big button during onboarding in 10 seconds, it will automatically click for you to move things along.
• The conversation system has been updated to improve performance by using offscreen elements instead of an iframe. Now chatting with the companion is not blocked in websites.
• You can no longer send multiple inputs while the companion is still replying, making the chat smoother.
• The companion responses have been improved for a more natural and engaging conversation, making the interactions feel smoother and more relatable.
• We’ve added Chat Missions (both daily and monthly), so now you’ll have 6 daily missions in total: 2 Social Missions, 1 Backyard Mission, 1 Care Index Mission, 1 Chat Mission, and 1 Repost Mission.
• The beta version is now publicly available on the Chrome store (previously it was hidden and unlisted).
• The access code to enter the beta is now optional, everyone can access it using referral codes (from others User ID) or community codes.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed an issue where you would get multiple replies if you clicked the send button more than once.
• Fixed the companion getting stuck after dragging it during onboarding.
• Fixed an issue where speech input would activate when you switched tabs during the speech input intro.
• Fixed a problem where your name input was repeated twice.
• Fixed the text input box expanding off-screen when pasting long text.
• Fixed layout problems in the Daily Mission menu when showing more than 2 social missions.
• Fixed an issue where the Hub’s build popup appeared while interacting with the extension menu.
• Fixed the companion getting stuck on the X.com page during onboarding after you dropped it.
• Fixed overlapping error and successful AI responses when external noise or interruptions happened.
• Fixed "Recovery" and "Seems like Pudgy likes you" notifications appearing every 2 minutes even after closing them.
• Fixed the issue preventing voice input when the companion is speaking.
• Fixed referral links that were mistakenly directing users to the beta version instead of the non-beta.
