Beta Extension v3.1.6 Patch Notes

Hi everyone! We’ve made some exciting updates to your Kindred experience with new features and bug fixes! Here’s what’s new:

New Things & Improvements

• Added a pin extension popup that shows after the user closes the tab bar for the first time.
• Updated the gift button on the tab bar and the House so they no longer refresh the Hub when the user is already in it.
• Disabled speech output after closing the speech bubble.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed the error dialog not triggering when activating the AI conversation on pages that block speech input/output.
• Fixed the menu modal not closing after clicking the recovery email link in the Edit Profile menu.
• Fixed the extension companion appearing on the Hub page after clicking the gift button on the tab bar.
• Fixed an issue where the companion would stand still and not be interactable if the user switched back to the onboarding page or X.com after completing onboarding.
• Fixed the companion sometimes going behind the speech bubble when playing an animation.
• Removed intro audio, glitch effect, and text video in onboarding Step 0.
• Updated animation when the companion is about to move to X.com in onboarding Step 1.
• Fixed animation transition after the user double clicks the companion in onboarding Step 1.
• Fixed missing animation after successful name input if the user is using speech input in onboarding Step 1.
• Disabled patting when the companion asks for the user’s name and when the companion asks the user to pick up in onboarding Step 1 & 3.
• Fixed companion dialog not continuing due to listening animation interrupting in onboarding Step 2.
• Fixed onboarding being stuck if the user clicked the tab bar button before the dialog in onboarding Step 2.
• Fixed the companion falling down from the tab bar if the user scrolled the page in onboarding Step 2.
• Fixed the companion disappearing for a moment when jumping to the top bar if the user scrolled the page in onboarding Step 2.
• Added a dummy speech wave GIF and disabled speech recording during onboarding Step 2.
• Fixed an issue where the companion wouldn't replay from the initial step position after switching to another tab and returning in onboarding Step 2 & 3.
• Fixed the speech bubble being blocked when the companion is positioned in a corner or on the top bar in onboarding Step 2 & 3.
• Added more AI response animations for Pudgy Penguin companion.
